There are six season in Bangladesh. The rainy season is the second season of them. The Bengali months - Ashar & Srabon are called the rainy season. Sometimes it begins earlier & lasts longer of all seasons. I like the rainy season most.

During the rainy season the sky remains cloudy. Sometimes the sun is not seen. During this time it rains cats & dogs. Sometimes it rains for days together. Roads become muddy & slippery. Rivers, canals & ponds are filled with water. They over flow their banks. Fields go under weather.

The rainy season is surely a blessing for our country. Bangladesh is an agricultural country & most of crops are dependent on the rain water makes our soil fertile. The rainy season is not blessing for us all the times. The poor & day labourer suffer much. They can't go out of doors for work. Sometimes there are floods & it washes away our crops & houses.

Though the rainy season has its demerits. It is blessing to the economy of our country & the prosperity of our people. We welcome this season & enjoy its beauty.
